Navitas Education Trust applications open for FY22
1st Feb, 2021 Feature story:
The FY22 funding round of the Navitas Education Trust (NET) is now open, with leading global education provider Navitas on the lookout for charities in need of funding for vital education-based projects.
Drawing inspiration from the Navitas purpose of transforming lives through education, the NET provides support to charitable organisations with an education focus to bring about change where it is most needed. COVID-19 has significantly disrupted the education of many children around the world, meaning the work of NET partners has become more important than ever.
The NET has helped numerous organisations deliver positive educational outcomes to communities in many locations. Funding has been used to build classroom infrastructure, provide scholarships and supplies, support tuition centres, and more recently to produce digital teaching and learning resources.
The NET provides funding to Assisi Aid Projects for its Education and Skill Development project in India, which has recently expanded to include the provision of computing skills to older children.
CEO of Assisi Aid, Prue Ingram, has this to say about NET support;
"Assisi Aid Projects is very proud to be partnering with Navitas to ensure that children in tribal villages in Tamil Nadu, India are provided with every opportunity to get the most out of their education and contribute to their communities. In supporting projects such as these, Navitas actively demonstrates their steadfast commitment to enhancing education in all communities.”
For the first time, application will be via online form, and submissions must be received by Friday 19 March 2021. For more information about the NET and to obtain the FY22 application guidelines, please visit Navitas.com/organisation/responsibility and select the ‘Community’ tab.
The Navitas Education Trust has donated over $2.5 million in grants to a diverse range of education-based projects around the world since its inception in 2013.
