Navitas Education Trust reopens for applications in 2020

The 2020 funding round of the Navitas Education Trust (NET) is now open, with leading global education provider Navitas on the lookout for charities in need of funding for vital education-based projects.
Drawing inspiration from the Navitas purpose of transforming lives through education, the NET provides support to charitable organisations with an education focus to bring about change where it is most needed. Since 2013, the Navitas Education Trust has donated over $2 million in grants to a diverse range of education-based projects around the world.
The NET has helped numerous charitable organisations deliver positive educational outcomes to communities in many locations. Funding has been used to build classroom infrastructure, develop teaching resources, provide scholarships, mentoring support and teacher training programs, and help more women and girls access education.
The NET has recently been funding the Adara Development Improving Seven Schools project in Ghyangfedi, NEPAL. Adara Group Founder and Chair Audette Exel said, “We are so proud to partner with Navitas and we salute them for their support of education worldwide. At Adara, we believe every child has a right to quality education, no matter where they live. The support of Navitas goes directly to children in some of the most remote places in the world, bringing the gift of education and opportunity to their communities.”
Navitas believes in bridging education communities and in January 2020 two Navitas teachers will be travelling to Cambodia to attend the opening of a NET-funded school, built by long-term partner Classroom of Hope.
In 2020, Navitas plans to boost its corporate global citizenship activities with initiatives in both volunteering and sustainability. CEO Scott Jones said, “The NET is one element of our global citizenship approach. We are also committed to doing what we can as an organisation to ensure a more sustainable, community-minded future.”
Applications for the next round of NET grants close on 28 February 2020.
