The latest issue of Green Apple, our eMagazine for Navitas educators, is now live!

We are pleased to launch Issue 10 of Green Apple – our eMagazine for Navitas educators! It’s a real bumper, full of stories and insights from our educator community all across the organisation.

Launched in 2020 against the backdrop of the global pandemic as a means of connecting and engaging our people, the publication has evolved to become a place to share impactful interviews and stories, information to build skills and knowledge, and vital industry news across the Navitas network. We hope you enjoy this latest instalment.

What’s inside this issue?

On our cover story we feature Lancaster University Leipzig’s Campus Director Dr Elisabeth Grindel-Denby whose institution is the first under the Navitas banner to offer full-time Masters programs globally.

Soft skills are an important part of any role in education, and we are fortunate to hear Jonathan Brown, a teacher at Sydney Institute of Business & Technology share his wisdom on how we can use communication as a tool to build better relationships in both the workplace and the classroom.

Tapping into the themes of diversity, equity and inclusion, Navitas Skilled Futures Stakeholder Engagement Manager Basim Shannon reveals what motivated him to write a book about his experience as a migrant entitled From Iraq to Australia: Jewels From My Journey.

While on the topic of migration, hear from Navitas Skilled Futures General Manager Jetinder Macfarlane about the recent win in the NSW Premier Awards for the delivery of the Australian Government’s Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and some of the vital work opening doors for refugees to live their best lives.

We also took a deep dive into the world of artificial intelligence, with machine learning technology and tools such as ChatGPT coming to prominence. What will be the implications for the education sector, and indeed the broader community? Academic Lead and Lecturer at KUIC Bilkis Usman shared her thoughts.
