University of Waikato College and UC International College deliver immigration training across key markets

Last month, University of Waikato College and UC International College together organised a series of successful immigration-focused training sessions to address student visa outcomes in higher-risk markets. The New Zealand Immigration Insights and Student Visa Training Sessions placed particular emphasis on pathway programs and multi-year student visa applications.

Led by Andrea McLeod-Karim, Director and Licensed Immigration Adviser at Arahanga, agent partners across Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, South East Asia, and Indochina attended the training sessions. Navitas regional teams across each market also supported the delivery of the online sessions.

A total of 1,490 participants attended the four sessions, demonstrating strong engagement across the regions:

  • 500 participants from India and Sri Lanka
  • 327 participants from South East Asia and Indochina
  • 98 participants from Africa
  • 565 participants from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan

The training received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with attendees highlighting its practical insights, relevance, and value in supporting student visa applications.
