The Hague Pathway College welcomes new international cohort
The new academic year at The Hague Pathway College (THPC) began with a successful Student Introduction Week, welcoming approximately 200 students representing 47 nationalities to The Hague and the campus of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
For many students, this marks the beginning of an important transition as they leave home, adapt to a new culture and prepare for higher education in an international environment. The Introduction Week programme is designed to help students feel academically prepared, personally supported and confident as they begin their studies.
Throughout the week, students took part in a range of sessions introducing them to their programmes, lecturers, academic expectations and the resources available to support their success. These activities provided students with a clear understanding of what to expect while helping them build confidence ahead of the start of classes.
Alongside academic preparation, the programme placed a strong focus on community building and student wellbeing. Activities including Speed Friending, team challenges, campus explorations and social events gave students opportunities to connect with peers from around the world. By the end of the week, many had already begun forming friendships and support networks that will enrich their student experience.
The diversity of this year’s cohort reflects the truly international learning environment at THPC. With students from 47 nationalities coming together, the college provides a multicultural community where students can learn not only from their lecturers, but also from the experiences and perspectives of their peers.
Student Introduction Week was supported by the dedication of THPC staff, lecturers and student ambassadors, who worked to ensure that every student felt welcomed, supported and ready to begin their studies.
As classes get underway, THPC looks forward to supporting the new cohort as they take their next steps towards progression to degree programmes at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and beyond.
