Offsetting our carbon emissions from the 2025 Business Partner Conference

We have offset the carbon footprint of our 2025 Business Partners Conference (BPC) through a partnership with Tasman Environmental Markets (TEM).

For the third year, we are proud to offset our carbon emissions for business travel from the annual Business Partner Conference. This year, the conference took place in Vietnam, and we accounted for 563 tCO2e when choosing an offset project.

Supporting communities in Papua New Guinea

We choose to offset our BPC emissions this year to by supporting the April Salumei Rainforest Community Conservation Project in Papua New Guinea, a REDD+ initiative that protects over 603,000 hectares of rainforest. We partnered with carbon offset provider BlueHalo (and our travel provider FCM) to ensure that our investment directly contributes to the development and expansion of environmental projects.

BlueHalo retired a total of 563 verified carbon units (VCUs) on our behalf. The offset emissions include all business air travel to and from the conference location in Vietnam this year.

The project not only avoids significant carbon emissions but also delivers social benefits such as employment, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, while preserving Indigenous culture and biodiversity.

This initiative contributes to multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including climate action, life on land, and community development.

Our ongoing commitment

In future, we want to continue investing in climate-positive actions and exploring innovative platforms like TEM’s BlueHalo to offset emissions from our corporate travel and other business activities that cannot be otherwise avoided.
