Navigating changing student trends: insights from Kuala Lumpur’s counsellor network
Navitas South East Asia (Maritime) team has been actively engaging with students, parents and school counsellors across the region throughout September.
A key engagement this month was the School Counsellors’ Briefing and Networking Session held at INTI International College Subang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The session featured a presentation by Cambridge, exploring the expanding progression landscape, evolving student mobility trends, changing study destination preferences, and strategies for guiding students towards future-ready pathways.
The event brought together counsellors from leading institutions, including Epsom College, Premfield International School, UCSI, the German Malaysian Institute and many others, creating valuable opportunities for professional dialogue and collaboration.
During the session, Hana Hassan, Schools & Government Liaison Manager – South East Asia (Maritime), showcased Navitas’ direct university degree pathways and highlighted its personalised, end-to-end student support model, designed to help students transition confidently into university and graduate with career-ready skills and valuable industry connections.
Counsellors showed strong interest in Navitas’ flexible entry requirements, scholarship opportunities and value-added workshops that enhance student readiness. The engagement reinforced Navitas’ role as a trusted partner for counsellors seeking flexible, student-centred pathways that support both academic achievement and long-term career outcomes.
