Based in Shanghai, Celia Yu has worked with Navitas for more than seven years and has over 15 years of experience in international education.

As the Regional Manager for Central China, Celia brings deep expertise, passion, and energy to everything she does. In her role, she leads channel management across Central China, overseeing both agent and feeder partner networks while driving account management and business development. Her goal is to grow the business, generate sustainable revenue, and continue strengthening the Navitas brand in a highly dynamic market.

Collaboration sits at the heart of her work. Celia collaborates closely with Navitas divisional teams, colleges, and university partners to organise agent training sessions and activities, foster feeder partner and student engagement, and nurture key relationships.

Alongside relationship management, she plays a key role in gathering strategic market insight and turning strategy into action, from agent tiering and feeder school development to advancing Transnational Education (TNE) initiatives. She is proud to work alongside talented teams across the organisation and feels fortunate to contribute strong result especially in the feeder business.

If you were not in your current career, what would it be?

“To be honest, I can’t imagine working in another industry. Having spent over 15 years in international education, I’m still deeply passionate about empowering young people through quality education. It’s incredibly rewarding to play a role in shaping the future. As a sales and marketing professional, I also find great excitement in uncovering new opportunities and collaborating with various partners to achieve recruitment goals.”

What is the best advice you ever heard?

“The best advice I’ve ever received is: ‘Don’t wait until you’re ready. Start before you feel ready.’ Working in a fast-changing market means we must react quickly and take initiative — sometimes before everything feels perfectly in place — just start and optimise as we go. This mindset has been crucial in seizing opportunities and driving business growth.”

If I could have any superpower, it would be…

“If I could have any superpower, it would be the ability to instantly grant our Chinese students their visas—one less hurdle in their educational journey!”

What are your hobbies?

“I enjoy practising Pilates. It’s a wonderful way to connect with my body and cultivate both strength and control. I also love travelling and reading, which give me lots of fun as well as allow me to explore new cultures and gain valuable insights and wisdom.”
