Manchester Metropolitan University International College welcomes inaugural cohort
On Thursday 2nd October, we were delighted to host the official opening of Manchester Metropolitan University International College – our newest partnership in Europe.
This partnership will enable international students from around the world to study a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Manchester Metropolitan University through our supportive pathway programmes.
The celebratory event took place at the International College in the University’s Chatham Building, showcasing stunning views of the city and where the enrolment of new students is in full swing for the September 2025 intake. More than 80 students from over 30 countries will form the College’s inaugural cohort, each beginning a pathway programme at Foundation, Year One, or Pre-Master’s level. Subject areas already proving popular include Business, Computing and Engineering, and Art and Design.
Among the many stakeholders attending the event was Professor Malcolm Press CBE DL, Vice Chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University, who spoke about how the International College is central to the University’s Road to 2030 strategy and will support Manchester Met’s ambition to be a destination for students from across the world.

Jenny Watling, Pro-Vice-Chancellor International of Manchester Metropolitan University, said:
