Introducing ARU Certificate for Professional Development
What is ARU Certificate for Professional Development (ARUCPD) and how can it make students stand out from the crowd?
As a free, award-winning co-curricular programme available to all ARU students across Cambridge and Chelmsford, ARUCPD offers students the opportunity to complement their degree by choosing from a range of modules that run alongside their studies. Topics include social media, investing, negotiating and product development, allowing students to develop practical skills beyond their academic programme.
Designed in collaboration with academics, students and industry professionals, ARUCPD provides valuable opportunities for personal and professional development.
How does ARUCPD benefit students?
Students are expected to engage for around 50 hours per module. The flexible program is designed to fit around studies, employment and other commitments.
As an ARU-accredited program, each completed module awards 15 additional co-curricular personal development credits, which are recorded on students’ degree transcripts.
Through ARUCPD, students can:
- Build practical and transferable skills
- Expand their professional networks
- Access exclusive events and employability workshops
- Strengthen their CVs and career prospects
In fact, 92% of students agree that ARUCPD added value to their CV and improved their career prospects.
