ICP welcomes students from China for Summer School Program
International College Portsmouth (ICP) was delighted to welcome 13 students from China for an exciting Summer School program, giving them a taste of academic life, UK culture, and everything Portsmouth has to offer.

Over 10 days (4-13 August), the students took part in 10 intensive English sessions, focusing on improving their writing and speaking skills. These sessions were delivered by the lecturer who will teach them in their Pre-Master’s Program (PMP) in the future, giving them a valuable head start on their academic journey. They also enjoyed creative art classes with one of ICP lecturers, exploring their artistic side and developing new skills.

Outside the classroom, the program was packed with opportunities to discover Portsmouth and beyond. The group visited some of the city’s most famous landmarks, as well as taking day trips to London and Cambridge. Their social calendar was just as busy — from movie nights and crazy golf to bowling and a trip up the Spinnaker Tower, the students experienced a variety of fun activities while making memories and new friends.

This Summer School not only offered students a chance to improve their English and meet their future lecturers but also allowed them to immerse themselves in British culture and life at ICP. The college looks forward to welcoming them back soon as they continue their academic journey in Portsmouth.
