ICP Virtual Open Day guides students on their journey to Portsmouth

International College Portsmouth (ICP) welcomed prospective students and agents from around the world to its virtual open day, Navigating Your Way to Portsmouth. Designed to showcase the complete student journey, the event provided valuable insights and practical guidance to help students prepare for studying in the UK.

Through a series of engaging and interactive sessions, attendees explored every stage of the student journey, including:

• Meet the crew – college services: learning about the comprehensive support available throughout the student journey.
• Discover Portsmouth: exploring Portsmouth as a student city, including its local attractions, culture, and what makes it an excellent place to live and study.
• Finding your home away from home: discovering accommodation options and gaining insights into student life in Portsmouth.
• Admissions next steps: understanding the offer, acceptance, and enrolment process.
• Pre-departure necessities: receiving essential information to help students prepare for their arrival in the UK.
• Careers and employability: exploring opportunities to develop skills, gain valuable experience, and enhance future career prospects.
• Student panel: hearing firsthand from current ICP students as they shared their experiences, advice for new students, and insights into life in Portsmouth.

The event demonstrated the collaborative efforts of teams across ICP, who worked together to deliver an informative and engaging experience for both students and agents. Strong attendance, active participation, and positive feedback highlighted the event’s success. One staff member shared a particularly rewarding response from a prospective student in Nigeria, who described the sessions as “brilliant,” saying she had learned so much and was grateful for the valuable information provided.
