Future-proofing your degree at International Islamic School Malaysia Career Day 2026

Hana Hassan, Schools & Government Liaison Manager at Navitas, proudly represented Navitas at the International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM) Career Day. Joining a diverse group of local and international universities, education providers, and industry representatives, Hana engaged with students to inspire and support the next generation as they explored their future study and career pathways.

The event brought together students from Grades 7 to 10, providing valuable exposure to academic pathways, future careers, and global study destinations through a series of interactive presentations and exhibitions.

As part of the program, Hana delivered a featured presentation to Grade 10 students titled “Fast-Track Your Degree, Future-Proof Your Career.” The session encouraged students to think not only about degrees that pay well but also about degrees that will survive the future. With the World Economic Forum predicting that over 800 million jobs may be automated by 2030, the ability to learn, relearn, and unlearn as industries evolve is crucial!

Students were introduced to study opportunities through Navitas pathway and direct-entry programs at three leading university partners:

  • Deakin College (Australia)
  • Curtin Singapore
  • Lancaster University Leipzig (Germany)

The presentation highlighted flexible study pathways, fast-track degree options, and scholarship opportunities of up to $20,000 available through Curtin Singapore and Lancaster University Leipzig.

A particularly encouraging moment during the presentation was the positive response from the school leadership. Madam Norhijjah Mohd Zin, Principal of the International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM), was visibly engaged throughout the session, nodding in agreement as key points were shared on future-ready careers, emerging industry trends, and the importance of equipping students with skills that will remain relevant in an AI-driven world.

During the exhibition sessions, students were highly engaged and showed strong interest in the performing arts, fashion, business, law, and international relations. Navitas extends its gratitude to Bro Firdaus and the team at the International Islamic School Malaysia for providing the opportunity to participate in this meaningful event.
