ECU Sri Lanka sports launch

ECU Sri Lanka is excited to announce the official launch of sports on campus!

The launch event was held on 5 September, showcasing the vibrant sports community and the wide range of sports the university offers, which includes:

• Cricket
• Football/Futsal
• Rugby
• Netball
• Basketball
• Chess
• Debate
• Badminton
• Esports
• Swimming

ECU Sri Lanka was honoured to have Pro Vice-Chancellor of Sport, Sophia Nimphius as its chief guest. The event had many special moments, such as:

• pinning of new captain badges
• team unveilings and recognizing past captains
• a special thanks to the former Sports Captain and Sports coordinator, Liyara Martin
• a welcoming session for the new Sports Coordinator, Jacob Atkinson

The event brought together hundreds of ECU Sri Lanka’s student-athletes in a celebration of teamwork, dedication, and fun. It was truly an afternoon to remember, with awesome presentations, exciting videos, countless photos, and the launch of the official sports website.
