Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia Open Day 2026

Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI) successfully hosted its Open Day 2026 in Jakarta on 24 January 2026 and Bandung on 25 January 2026, drawing strong interest from students, parents, education agents, and school counsellors in both cities.

The events recorded a strong turnout and high level of engagement, with participants actively exploring academic pathways, scholarship opportunities, and future study options. The positive response reflects growing confidence in DLI as a provider of global education pathways for Indonesian students.

A key feature of the Open Days was the trial class experience, where prospective students participated in interactive sessions for Business and Computer Science programs. These trial classes offered valuable insight into DLI’s teaching approach, curriculum structure, and learning environment, helping students make more informed decisions about their academic interests.

The Open Days also featured a Career and Leadership Talk under the theme “Global Education, Global Opportunities: Preparing Young Talents for the Future Workforce.” The session was delivered by senior leaders from DLI and Deakin University, including:

  • Arifin, Chief Operating Officer, DLI
  • Greg Barton, Rector, DLI
  • John Bolton, Executive Director, International Branch Campus, Deakin University
  • John Molony, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Vice President (International), Deakin University

The speakers shared perspectives on the importance of global education, international exposure, and industry-relevant learning in preparing students for the future workforce. Discussions highlighted how strong academic partnerships and transnational education models can enhance graduate employability and global career readiness.

The session received strong engagement from attendees, with students and parents actively participating in discussions and Q&A sessions.

DLI acknowledges the important role played by education agents and school counsellors in supporting student participation and contributing to the success of the events.
