Connection through crisis: Navitas communities fundraise AU$25,000 for Nepal

Fundraising to support flood-affected communities in Nepal alongside NET partner, Adara Group

Nepal is an important part of the Navitas community. Many of our students, staff and business partners have deep personal and family connections to the country. Our communities watched with devastation as the catastrophic flash floods of August this year left their mark on Nepal and its communities.

The flooding in Nepal caused loss of life, destroyed homes, and disrupted access to essential services. Affected communities urgently need food, safe water, shelter, medical care, and other critical support.

Our role as global citizens

As a global community, we saw an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

For the month of September, we partnered with Adara Group to fundraise for communities in Nepal affected by the flooding. Every dollar donated will be matched by the Navitas Education Trust, doubling the impact of our teams. We welcomed contributions from all parts of the Navitas community, including students, staff, agents and partners, so together we can extend our support to those most affected.

Our wonderful communities donated over AU$11,000! After the NET contribution, we are able to donate a total of AU$25,000 to support Adara’s critical aid services across affected regions.

We also had the opportunity to share this fundraising opportunity at our 2026 Business Partner Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where our Group CEO, Scott Jones, shared a few words about the importance of community in times of difficulty.

To thank Adara Group for their critical work supporting remote communities in Nepal, not just at this time but year-round, two Navitas team members had the opportunity to visit Nepal-based Adara team members this week.

Steve Hird, GM Marketing and Recruitment, South Asia and Anil Nepal, Regional Manager, Nepal were welcomed by Pralhad Dhakal, Director Remote Community Development, Adara Nepal and his team to Adara’s Kathmandu office (pictured below).

Keeping community at the heart of Navitas Skilled Futures, Cabramatta

Our staff and students at Navitas Skilled Futures, Cabramatta gathered together to fundraise for the Adara appeal at their September Spring Festival.

Angie Azar, College Manager, NSF Cabramatta shared:

“Community is the essence of Cabramatta College. Our students come to class not only to learn, but also to connect, belong, and support one another. The generosity shown during our Spring Festival fundraiser was a powerful reminder that in times of hardship, communities stand together. We were humbled by the incredible support from our students, staff, and local community, whose donations will help provide much-needed assistance to those impacted by the Nepal floods. This fundraiser reflected the compassion, unity, and generosity that define our college community, and we are proud to contribute to a cause that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”

Thank you to each and every donor

Thank you to each and every person who has donated – every amount contributes to essential aid services and reminds us of how connected we are as a global community. We would like to give a special thank you to the three generous donors who contributed AU$1000 each to this important cause.
