Celebrating the 1,000th student at The Hague Pathway College

September marks an important milestone for The Hague Pathway College (THPC) as the college officially welcomed its 1,000th student since opening its doors.

Thao Quynh Chi Pham (Chi), from Vietnam, joined THPC as the 1,000th student. She is currently pursuing her studies at the International Foundation Programme in Management & Social Sciences. Chi will progress to the BA in International Communication Management at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) once she completes her studies at THPC. With her clear goal, the pathway programme will help her gain the skills, confidence, and university experience needed before her university studies.

“The communication field is what interests me the most, and I’ve always wanted to work in marketing and branding for my full-time job in the future,” Chi shared.

For THPC, this milestone goes far beyond reaching a number. Each student brings their own ambitions and story to THPC. They shape the character of the college together. Chi’s arrival is a reminder of how far THPC has come in just a few years. It also reflects how the education agents, students, teachers, and university partners have all contributed to THPC’s growth.

Marlies Overbeek, College Director Principal at THPC, shared reflections on the occasion:

“Every student who joins us brings a unique journey and impact. Welcoming our 1,000th student is a special milestone — a sign of the trust students place in The Hague Pathway College and THUAS, and of the vibrant international community they help to create. The team at THPC, including myself, feel proud and privileged to support students like Chi as they take the next step in shaping their future.

At Navitas, we believe education transforms lives and futures. Together with THUAS, we are proud to provide an environment where students like Chi can thrive, discover their potential, and shape a global impact starting right here in The Hague.”

Navitas agents and school counsellors play a vital role in guiding students towards Dutch higher education. With their continued support, THPC has grown into a trusted pathway provider — continuing to welcome students from around the world and helping them take confident steps toward their future.
