My name is Professor Simon Guy. I work at Lancaster University where I’m the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global and I’ve been working with Navitas for about 8 years now.
So working with Navitas has made a real impact for Lancaster University in the space of transnational education. Our journey with Navitas started with our campus in Leipzig, both in the exploration phase of choosing where the campus would be across Europe, and then within Germany. And then having chosen Leipzig, starting the campus, opening the campus and now developing it to the great success it is.
And we’ve carried on of course with Navitas exploring our next campus, which is Indonesia joint with Deacon University. So again, a similar process. We’re working with Navitas to identify globally where we might operate, how we might operate, and then executing that plan. We’ve worked closely together in developing and delivering our TNE strategy.
I would say we started from the beginning with a clear partnership, but that partnership has really, really deepened. So our understanding of each other has grown, trust has grown, the sophistication of the relationship, the ability to talk about difficult things, to resolve the inevitable problems that arise when you’re doing projects as complex as these, and to work with them together. Looking at the kind of joint values and virtues, and joint objectives that we share as partners. Working together to deliver a single objective.
