Fun fact about Anna

“Before starting my career in international education, I worked as a flight attendant, and it’s still one of the most unforgettable chapters of my life. I travelled extensively, experienced so many different cultures, and met people from all over the world, often all in the same week! It was exciting, fast-paced, and sometimes completely unpredictable.

I like to say it gave me a whole new perspective on people – let’s just say that after working on flights for a few years, it gives me fewer surprises now. Despite the jet lag and demanding schedule, it was an amazing experience that ultimately inspired my passion for international education and connecting with people globally.”

If you weren’t in your current career, what would it be?

“I always dreamt of working in the United Nations headquarters in New York. I studied International Relations and French at university and was always interested in politics and international affairs. If I weren’t in my current role, I would most likely have pursued a career in diplomacy or worked within the NGO sector.”

If I could have any superpower, it would be…

“If I could have one superpower, it would be teleportation. Having travelled so much over the years, the idea of instantly being able to move between countries and cultures would be amazing. It would make it so much easier to stay connected with people around the world and explore new places whenever I wanted.”

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?

“Having travelled extensively and visited many countries, I would still choose Dubai as my base. I love the city’s diversity, energy, and fast-paced lifestyle, as well as how safe and welcoming it is. After living here for the past 11 years, it truly feels like home. My second choice would be somewhere in Australia – most likely Melbourne or Brisbane, because of the amazing nature and multicultural environment.”
