Fun Fact about Trang Vu
If you weren’t in your current career, what would it be?
“I would likely be working in film production or within a creative field, bringing stories to life in different ways, or exploring a career in financial consulting.”
What is the best advice you’ve ever heard?
“One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received came from my grandfather. He taught me a Vietnamese poem when I was young:
‘Trong đầm gì đẹp bằng sen
Lá xanh bông trắng lại chen nhuỵ vàng
Nhuỵ vàng bông trắng lá xanh
Gần bùn mà chẳng hôi tanh mùi bùn.’
He has always been my first mentor in life, and he often reminded me of its meaning.
The lotus grows in muddy water, yet it remains pure and beautiful. To me, that lesson is about staying true to who I am—no matter the environment—while continuously growing and improving without being influenced by negativity.
It’s a principle I carry with me in both life and work: to remain grounded, keep my values intact, and still strive to become a better version of myself.”
What are you passionate about?
“I’m most passionate about creating impact at the intersection of finance, education, and creativity.
With a background in Economics and Finance, I understand how value is created and how data and digital transformation can drive growth. At the same time, I’m deeply passionate about education—not just as a system, but as a way to create lifelong impact and shape future generations.
Rather than pursuing these interests separately, I’m driven to bring them together.
Education should remain academically strong—but that doesn’t mean it can’t be engaging, immersive, and even entertaining. Data and market insights shouldn’t live on static slides—they can be transformed into meaningful stories.
In some of my work, I’ve explored this idea through a “Navi-verse” themed experience, where students, partners, and Navitas teams became “stars” in a shared, dynamic journey. It reinforced my belief that when education is both meaningful and experiential, it creates a deeper and more lasting impact.
In today’s world, knowledge alone isn’t enough—emotional connection matters just as much. As AI continues to evolve, I’m passionate about combining technology with a human touch to create experiences that are both intelligent and deeply personal.
In a country like Vietnam, where education is evolving and attracting more investment, I see a meaningful opportunity to contribute—not only to improving education quality, but also to supporting economic growth and future talent development.
Ultimately, what drives me is creating something meaningful—where innovation meets purpose, and education becomes truly transformative.”
If I could have any superpower, it would be…
“If I could have a superpower, I would choose the ability to travel across the multiverse—experiencing different versions of my life in parallel realities.
Not just out of curiosity, but because I’m deeply driven by growth and possibility. Each version of me would make different choices, take different risks, and learn different lessons. Through that, I would gain a deeper understanding of who I am, what truly matters, and how I can create the most meaningful impact.
Because ultimately, the more perspectives I gain, the more intentional and impactful I can become.”
