Navitas-funded computer room gives KOTO students access to online learning

We are thrilled to see the new Computer Room being used by KOTO trainees to develop essential employability skills!

In September last year, we were delighted to welcome the Founder and Executive Chairman of KOTO (Know One Teach One), Jimmy Pham AM, to the 2025 Navitas Business Partner Conference as a keynote speaker. Jimmy delivered a Keynote Address sharing the story of KOTO’s beginnings and how it became the organisation that it is today. At the end of his presentation Jimmy asked for support from the room in their efforts to fit out a new computer room for KOTO trainees that would provide learning support to further their studies.

Navitas CEO Scott Jones and the NET team were so inspired by KOTO’s mission that we were delighted to provide an additional grant to support the build of the new computer room, alongside the continuing grant supporting KOTO’s hospitality training program.

The NET has partnered with KOTO twice since the trust launched 2013. After an initial partnership in 2017, NET was delighted to partner with KOTO again in 2023 for a three-year partnership that saw NET funding supporting the KOTO Hospitality Traineeship Program for disadvantaged young people in Hanoi. NET funding has supported three classes of 15 trainees in their hospitality programs – funding not only their education costs, but also their living expenses as trainees learn valuable skills in the hospitality industry to secure future employment.

About KOTO

KOTO is a social enterprise that empowers at-risk and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam through its holistic hospitality and life-skills training program to break the poverty cycle and empower a new generation of learners.

With a shared purpose of transforming lives through education, NET funding has supported the KOTO Hospitality Traineeship Program for disadvantaged young people in Hanoi since 2023 – helping them gain better access to education, which in turn creates a positive, far-reaching impact on communities.

“KOTO would like to extend our sincere thanks to Navitas, a valued partner whose meaningful support has enabled the sponsorship and development of a modern Computer Room for KOTO’s training programmes,” said Jimmy Pham.

“This partnership has helped create a learning environment that supports both teaching and learning, allowing trainees to access technology, build digital capability, strengthen their English skills and prepare more effectively for future careers in the hospitality and service industry.

“The Computer Room is used regularly throughout the training programme and KOTO is deeply grateful for this generous support. The contribution from Navitas is helping trainees develop essential skills, build confidence and move forward with greater readiness for the opportunities ahead.”
