Celebrating a 10-year anniversary! Western Sydney University International College
Earlier this month, Navitas marked the 10-year anniversary of Western Sydney University International College (WSUIC); a significant milestone in our long-standing partnership with Western Sydney University (WSU). The event celebrated a decade of shared success in delivering pathway programs that prepare international students for successful transition into undergraduate study.
From its first intake of four students, WSUIC has grown to welcome learners from more than 30 countries and has supported more than 1,200 students to complete their pathway program. The anniversary brought together students, alumni, academic staff, University leadership, Navitas colleagues and former staff involved in establishing the College. It was also a moment to recognise the students whose academic journeys began at the College and have since continued at Western Sydney University.
Guest speakers included:
- Distinguished Professor George Williams AO, Vice-Chancellor & President, WSU
- Professor Arshad Omari, Chair, WSUIC Board of Directors
- Professor Amir Mahmood, Director & Principal, WSUIC.
Dr Nicolene Murdoch, Pro Vice-Chancellor, WSU, and Sally Waite, Executive General Manager, Navitas, formally acknowledged the milestone on behalf of both organisations.
Navitas acknowledges all those who have contributed to this partnership over the past decade. The College continues to play a vital role in supporting Western Sydney University’s mission to empower students to transform their lives and communities.
