Helen Meria is the Director and Founder of Options Education Agency, a student recruitment agency that started in Australia 16 years ago and has partnered with Navitas for 14 of those years. Having personally experienced the challenges and rewards of migration, including her own family’s journey from Kenya to Australia, Helen understands the significance of transitioning to a new country.
Options Education Agency offers students personalised pathways to study abroad, and guides them to top academic institutions worldwide – supporting them every step of the way.

My name is Helen Meria. I’m the Director and Founder at Options Education Agency. This is an agency which was born in Australia, we’ve been there doing student recruitment for the last 16 years. We are very privileged to have our partnership with Navitas for the last 14 years.
Partnering with Navitas has always made our work extremely, very, very enjoyable and very easy – in the sense that Navitas is one of the partners that has really been so focused on training our teams, training us, and giving us some of the support that no one else can give us. Together we have really, really blended so well with our team on the ground and the Navitas team. It’s such a great family, and I must say Navitas is one of our greatest partners considering it’s a pathway that leads us to different other partners.
The majority of our students who go to Navitas are fairly very young, and it’s through Navitas they are able to hold their hands when they are very young in small classes. By the time they convert to going to higher education, or to join the higher partner or the university, they are very confident. We have seen a big difference for students who go through Navitas versus those who go direct to the university, because they always are prepared. They make the journey for these young students very, very much easier – so that it will be more seamless than if they joined the universities.
Over the period of 14 years we have seen a lot of growth. Navitas opened its doors, all doors for us. We later even got engaged with Navitas in Europe, and we started now working with them in New Zealand.
I don’t know where we can go without Navitas because it’s like they are part of us, we are part of them – and through them we have made a difference to so many lives, and to so many students who have unlocked their potential just because of Navitas.
