ECU Sri Lanka marks milestones with new communication degree launch and Alumni Sundowner
ECU Sri Lanka celebrated two major milestones this month, marking its growing impact in international education and community building.
On 4 November, ECU Sri Lanka launched its Bachelor of Communication degree, a game-changing Australian qualification for the media and creative industries. The launch event brought together academics, media professionals, and industry leaders to celebrate innovation and collaboration. A highlight of the event was the unveiling of ECU’s state-of-the-art Podcast Studio, reflecting the university’s hands-on approach to communication education and commitment to nurturing the next generation of storytellers and media leaders.
Continuing the spirit of connection and excellence, ECU Sri Lanka hosted the ECU Alumni Sundowner on 7 November at Courtyard by Marriott, Colombo. The cocktail evening, featuring live music, gathered distinguished alumni from diverse professional fields, including representatives from the ECU Perth Alumni Office. The event was graced by Australia’s High Commissioner, Matthew Duckworth, and served as a vibrant platform to celebrate achievements, strengthen ties, and honour the university’s thriving global community.
