New General Foundation Studies Program launched at Western Sydney University International College

Western Sydney University International College has launched a new General Foundation Studies Program, starting in Term 1, 2026.

A key feature of this new program is its expanded progression to undergraduate opportunities at Western Sydney University. Compared with the existing Foundation Studies programs, the General Foundation Studies pathway offers a wider range of bachelor’s degree options across multiple disciplines at the university, including:

  • Arts
  • Communication
  • Design
  • Engineering, Architectural Design
  • Information and Communications Technology / Data Science
  • Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Paramedicine, Podiatric Medicine, Speech Pathology
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Sport and Exercise Science, Health and Physical Education

This tailored pathway is designed for international students who have completed Year 11 or an equivalent qualification, providing a structured academic transition into the first year of a Western Sydney University undergraduate degree or a relevant diploma at Western Sydney University International College.

Currently, students at the college can progress to more than 30 undergraduate degrees, with the list continuing to grow. This broader academic scope provides greater flexibility and choice for international students, enabling them to pursue a wider variety of study and career pathways through Western Sydney University International College and Western Sydney University.
