Student success at Queens College

At Queens College (QC) campus in New York City, outstanding student achievements have continued inside and outside the classroom.

First-year student Khushmeet Kaur, who joined QC through the Global Student Success Program (GSSP) in Autumn 2024, was selected as the winner of this semester’s Presidential Suite Art Competition. Her artwork, The Silent Wait, was unveiled in Kiely Hall on campus and depicts her family’s dog, who has passed away. Ms. Kaur has also participated in the Arts Leadership Bootcamp.

Elsewhere on campus, Queens College GSSP recently awarded nine outstanding GSSP students an Academic Success and Community Engagement scholarship based on their achievements from the Spring 2025 semester. With a large pool of applicants, these students went above and beyond throughout the semester.
