15th Feb, 2019   Feature story:

This week, Navitas proudly announced two 10-year partnership renewals in the UK.

Following 10 years of partnership with the University of Plymouth, the University of Plymouth International College (UPIC) is delighted to announce a renewed agreement for another 10 years to deliver university pathway programs until 2029.

In Portsmouth, the International College Portsmouth (ICP) is also marking 10 years of partnership with the University of Portsmouth and has renewed their agreement for another 10 years.

Over the past decade, several thousand students from over one hundred countries around the world have progressed through our colleges to continue their studies at these two universities.

Navitas Group CEO David Buckingham joined both teams at events to mark the signing of the agreements, along with senior European leaders including University Partnerships CEO Paul Lovegrove and Chief Operating Officer Kimberly Lovegrove, as well as College Directors/ Principals Peter McDonnell (UPIC) and Peter Venables (ICP).

“We are delighted to be extending our partnership with two of our longest standing university partners in the UK”, said Navitas Group Chief Executive Officer, David Buckingham.

“We look forward to continuing to develop these relationships, supporting the universities’ internationalisation ambitions and providing global students with an exceptional learning experience in these two thriving cities.”

Commenting on the renewal, Professor Judith Petts CBE, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Plymouth said: “We are delighted to formally mark the continuation of our relationship with Navitas. This is a longstanding and strategic partnership, one that has evolved over time and is based on shared goals and values. Our work with Navitas has made an important contribution to internationalisation at the University of Plymouth over the last 10 years. Above all else, its focus has been on providing the highest quality of student experience.

“Our international students are a vital component of our academic community, and thanks to UPIC, we can offer a supportive introduction to our institution, city and region, for those who need it.”

Commenting on the renewal, Professor Graham Galbraith, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Portsmouth said: “The University’s partnership with ICP has been a great success – both for Navitas and the University; and it has helped many students progress on to good careers. We expect the partnership to go from strength to strength; it is central to the University’s longer-term plans and internationalisation ambitions; and we hope to see more students pass through ICP to the University in future years.”
