New Head of Navitas Ventures Tim Praill supports Australian EdTech mission to the US

Navitas announced Tim Praill as the new head of its corporate venturing arm Navitas Ventures last week at the world’s leading EdTech summit, ASU+GSV.
Also the Head of Strategy for Navitas, Mr Praill led an opening session at the conference that showcased Navitas’ thought leadership on the Global EdTech Landscape. The Project Landscape 3.0 report identified $50 billion dollars of investment across 15,000 EdTech teams in over 50 countries around the world.
ASU+GSV attendees were also the first to see a snapshot of Navitas Ventures’ soon to be released research into 70 EdTech city profiles around the world. Project Ecosystem will aim to identify the most attractive locations for education startups and drive increased connectivity across the sector.
The ASU GSV Conference was the high point of a two week Austrade EdTech Mission to the US. “The mission represents the next stage in the development and export of Australian education, and it is great to see Austrade providing innovative Australian education startups with access to international opportunities. We are proud to support this initiative,” said Mr Praill.
Mr Praill added that “Navitas Ventures remains committed to building, investing and partnering in high impact education opportunities, as well as being a thought-leader and innovator in education. I am excited at the opportunity to lead Navitas Ventures into its next phase of growth. A personal priority of mine will be to provide renewed support to Edugrowth, the not-for-profit organisation founded to support the development of the Australian Education Technology sector.”
